Falling Asleep

So here are a few snapshot of my children falling asleep in weird positions or ways.

One evening we went to Marv's for ice creams and here is a picture of Ryan falling asleep while eating his cone. We had some great videos, but they wouldn't transfer. It was seriously funny. He was eating and sleeping at the same time. He wouldn't even open his eyes and take a lick, but his head was bobbing up and down.

Annalynn on a trip to St. George.

We took a ride one Sunday afternoon and this is what happened in the back seat.

Yes she is seriously asleep. I think my kids just play so hard.

My baby turns 3

It is hard to imagine that my son was born 3 years ago. What a crazy day that was. I was so not ready for him to be here. I was thinking that I still had 5 more weeks. 3 days in the NICU was not the funnest either. I am so grateful that he is here and in my life and that gives me so many challenges. That may sound crazy, but I am learning so much from him and his crazy adventures.

Ryan wanted a brown dog. So this is what I came up with. The ears and tail are made out of twinkies and the nose is a ding dong. The other features are made out of skittles. He loved it. I had to make it on Saturday and I had a hard time keeping him out of it unitl Sunday for his party. He got a brand new big bike for his birthday and he LOVES it. It was like he was born riding a bike. He can manuvere it so well and ride so fast. What a change from Annalynn she is so cautious and doesn't really enjoy riding her bike. If I try to mention taking the training wheels off boy is that a bad idea.

My beautiful Annalynn...with Allie my niece in the background.

He always seems to be laughing or has a smile on his face.

"Stuck in the Mud"

On Wednesday's we try to go to the library for story time. Last week we went and they read a story called "Stuck in the Mud". After they read it they picked some kids to act it out. They picked Ryan to be the cowboy. He was so happy and excited. I took this picture from the back of the room with my cell phone. I think it turned out pretty good.

Fun in the Snow

We had amazing snow this winter here a few pictures that I took this year. The kids really enjoy playing in the snow. We don't have snow suits, but we just put layers on and they stay plenty warm.

Danny was so worried about the kids while the were sledding behind the 4-wheeler. He wouldn't keep his eyes off the kids. It was so cute.

This is a favorite winter activity for the kids. It is nice if the roads are icy for a weekend so that we can do this. They also love riding the sled down the huge snow banks in our driveway from pushing all of the snow into piles from the driveway.

Some amazing icecicles the were on our house. I thought that they were beautiful.

The Praying Mantis

Last summer I got these great pictures of the kids' facination with a praying mantis, that they found in our yard. My nephew H was here that day and he is a "bug boy". Anything bug and he is very happy. He especially likes trying to catch bugs. I had these on my cell phone and had just downloaded them when our computer messed up, that is why it took so long.

Here is the culprit for all of the excitment and this post.

My nephew H is such a bug boy, he loves them to death. He is always asking me for a cup or something to put the bugs in that he catches. R was so facinated with the bug and thought that it was cool that H would lay down with him to look at the bug.

It was hard to get good pictures since the kids wanted to be so close. Had to constantly remind them to be careful and to not hurt it.

The kids were so excited to see this praying mantis they were facinatied for quite awhile.

December 2009

Since I haven't been able to blog for a while I decided to just sumerize each month and give you a few pictures to enjoy.

My brother K and his family were able to come for Christmas this year. It was great fun to see them and get to know my nephew K a little better since we haven't seen him since he a few months old. We went to temple square and here is grandpa with the grandkids that were there. We sure did miss J and his family.

R loved his work bench. He loves to use daddy's tools. He asked Santa for one and he was happy that he got it.

A was so excited when she found this Santa gift under the tree. She had been asking for it for ages and ages. Rus was going to make one from scratch, but with his accident this is what we ended up getting.

Once a month Rustin's parents, siblings and a few cousins get together for a Family Home Evening, this was December's. Britt had costumes for each of the kids and we did the nativity, the angel wouldn't stand still for nothing so she isn't in the picture.

During December all of the Cannon's (Rus' mom's family) get together and have a "Santa" party. We have a big dinner and Santa comes. This a 4 generation picture that I took. I think that it turned out really good. You can see the brace Rus had to wear for 6 weeks after his surgery. It was a custom made one that was removable. He had to take it off every day and do exercises so he wouldn't loose so much muscle mass.
